Welcome to The ALB Standard.

I look forward to inspiring you in all areas of life, so that you can live as your best self.

Do You Feel It? It is the Moon.

Do you feel it? It is the moon.

Have you been feeling out of balance? Like something has been stirring up deep inside of you?

It is the full supermoon! It is summoning you. Embrace this feeling of unsettledness; you are mounting to new heights. Saggitarious (like ALB!) or not, this moon has a purpose.

Keep your heart open. When you close it off, you close off yourself.

By closing off, you do not just "protect yourself from the bad;" you also block the good. Remaining open is a conscious choice.

Energy is not an external force - originating from food, sleep, and nourishment. Energy is an internal power; it is what keeps you going. For example, you get fired from your job. Your energy shifts from your post-matcha high and you recede deep to the dark depths of yourself. Your energy did not change from caffeine withdrawal or lack of sleep, but because you responded to a trigger that caused an emotional reaction. Energy is found deep within the emotional soul of who you are. Now, what if that same day, you had plans to see your best friend from high school? As soon as your Uber dropped you off at her front door, you would fill with this palpable, jumpy, excited energy! How has your internal energy shifted from something so dark to something so bright? Certainly it is not because of that second matcha you had.

There is so much energy inside of you. This is how this drastic dynamic arises. So when you close yourself off, not only can you not feel the bad — from which you can absorb good, too — but you do not let yourself feel or revel in the good.

What do you want from life? To be full of joy, accomplishment, love, and light, right? So if you make the choice to be open and let yourself enjoy this energy, so what about what happens outside? Life presents you with both sweet and bitter times. If you open yourself up, you can find energy even within the darkest ones.

Keep opening; do not close. Wait until you see what happens.

“The most important thing in life is your inner energy. If you’re always tired and never enthused, then life is no fun. But if you’re always inspired and filled with energy, then every minute of every day is an exciting experience. Learn to work with these things. Through meditation, through awareness and willful efforts, you can learn to keep your centers open. You do this by just relaxing and releasing. You do this by not buying into the concept that there is anything worth closing over. Remember, if you love life, nothing is worth closing over. Nothing, ever, is worth closing your heart over.”
— The Untethered Soul, Michael A. Singer.

Love the life you live.

Happy full moon.
