Friday finds, volume I (Nov/25/2016)
TFW (that feeling when) it's Friday and the week has got you feeling like Chandler Bing (Bing, Bing, BING [3:47]... proceed to loosen your tie and freak out). But, TGIF, you made it to the weekend!!
Roughly every other Friday, I will share the most thought-provoking, discussion-starting, helpful, and interesting articles/collages/tips/essays/pictures/haikus (you get it) I find on the WWW.
The internet is such a powerful tool through which we have access to so much information. Browse cautiously, however. As your grandmother used to say, don’t believe everything you read on the internet. But don’t fret, I wont be spreading deceptive stories or advice, as I will share only what I truly believe is credible and beneficial.
If you have any alluring finds that adhere to these B R O A D categories, comment below or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org), and I may feature them in the following post and/or discuss them with you!
The Breathing method, the awareness technique, the two-minute break. Feel better even on off days. // Be mindful.
Meditation for those who think they can’t meditate. Sit and breathe. // Namaste.
It's the [sum of the] little things that counts. Be grateful that you’re not hungover today and can be productive. // Look on the bright side.
A new motivating column, by one of New York’s most motivating fearless leaders, to look forward to every Monday. // #Mondaymotivation.
I take a 15-20 minute bath most nights; the perfect formula: epsom salt + essential oils + candles + a good book = relax after a long day, and unwind so you can fall asleep easier (small win)! // My rubber ducky's name is George.
Mr. Lifshitz's Bedford, NY home. Gorgeous, homey, and never tired looking. I’d love to live there! // Who is Mr. Lifshitz? // You should know!
THE boot of the season for a less than designer price! Both the navy and oxblood are so cute and easy to wear with either jeans or a dress. It is also SO unbelievably comfortable that I am looking forward to wearing it to holiday parties! // Be the best looking at holiday parties (not just at Thanksgiving).
Ava Nirui finally released her bootleg Gucci hoodie - even though it's already sold out! // What would Alessandro Michele do?
Details about the long-awaited exhibition on Princess Diana’s Fashion Story. // My excuse to go to London next year!
“At breakfast, people haven’t been hung-up on the challenges of the day,” so it’s the best time to have an important meeting or make a crucial decision. // The sooner you do it (at breakfast), the less you have worry about it all day.
“In Paris, there is a ubiquitous white shopping bag that bears two cobalt blue dots, one on top of the other. More than a means of carrying goods, it’s a cultural signifier of a purchase that is current, perhaps a little kitsch and most certainly cool.” // 213 Rue Saint Honoré, 75011, Paris.
Bonus: NET-A-PORTER's shoe sale is faaaabulous!
